Biography
Lucile Desblache is Professor of Translation and Transcultural Studies and Director of the Centre for Research in Translation and Transcultural Studies at the University of Roehampton. She conducts research in two areas, Animal and Environmental Studies and Audiovisual Translation Studies. Recently, she has worked across the two areas, investigating how music can be an agent of translation for the natural world. She is the author of Music and Translation. New Mediations in the Digital Age (2019 Palgrave Macmillan).
